GertJan and Thessa worked at OMF's Team Centre in Cambodia until summer 2025. The Team Centre is a meeting place for other OMF mission workers in Cambodia. The centre offers a home in another country. For example, guests to the mission field can stay overnight here and mission workers also receive language lessons here. Meanwhile, the role Gertjan and Thessa had as Team Centre Manager has been taken over by a local Christian.
At the moment, GertJan and Thessa are on leave in the Netherlands. However, GertJan does work one day a week at the OMF office in Amersfoort where he takes over the work of someone on maternity leave. He is also involved in giving catechesis at the church in Den Ham.
GertJan and Thessa are experiencing the calling to be sent on a long-term mission to Cambodia. To prepare properly, they therefore hope to start training at Cornerstone's Bible School in Beugen in September 2026.
