Good news: Heart for Velserbroek has found a new pioneer. Rev Willem Griffioen has been the neighbourhood pastor for Velserbroek since 1 September. He is also missionary pastor of the Akergemeente in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. 'The motto of the Acher congregation is: receive Jesus and distribute. In this motto lies my desire. To get to know Jesus more deeply together with all God's children. And to pass on what He gives in love, grace, care and justice to others.'
Heart for Velserbroek is a missionary faith community, offering people from outside the church space to discover the Christian faith and get acquainted with God and church. To this end, they organise all kinds of low-threshold activities.
