In September, the ICF congregation in Rotterdam its 25th anniversary. A milestone to be thankful for. Since 1998, ICF has been a colourful and international congregation within the Christian Reformed Churches.

ICF grew out of a desire to provide a spiritual home for asylum seekers and expatriates who did not really feel welcome in existing churches. What began in 1998 as English-language services on Sunday afternoons grew into a full-fledged congregation. In 2000, ICF officially became a missionary congregation within the CGK.

The anniversary service on 14 September was dominated by gratitude, music and stories of God's faithfulness over the years. Rev Coen Legemaate said, "When you see what has been built here in 25 years, you can only say: this is God's work. Everything that was good came from Him."

With gratitude for the past and confidence in God's guidance, ICF looks to the future with expectation. For one thing is certain: God is building His church!
