For documentation on the history of the Christian Reformed Churches you can visit the Documentation Centre. In addition to archival documents, such as files on ministers and congregations, there is a large collection of material that is of great historical value. For example, deputies keep audio recordings of sermons, the sermon series Uit de Levensbron (From the Source of Life), many regional and national Christian Reformed church magazines, a complete series of Goede Moed (Good Courage), a chronological collection of newspaper clippings, commemorative booklets, correspondence, sermon outlines, photographs and objects.
Participants are deputies of church archives of the Christian Reformed Churches and the church history working group of the Christian Reformed Churches.

Dick van Arkel collection
A special collection is that of Dick van Arkel. He systematically kept records for each municipality. After his death, the collection was given a proper place in the Documentation Centre.

Warehouse list
On 27 October, the first copy of the Documentation Centre's Warehouse List was presented to the moderamen of the general synod by deputies of the church archives. The list contains information about eighty metres of archive boxes full of documents about the Christian Reformed Churches. These include church magazines, parish guides, printed sermons, sermons on cassette and objects. These include photographs, teaspoons, drawings and tiles. The brochure costs €10 and can be ordered from jn.noorlandt@solcon.nl.
Counts her towers
Machiel Vennik, an employee of the Documentation Centre of Deputies of Church Archives, has compiled all the figures and statistics that tell us something about the growth of the Christian Reformed Churches in this brochure. With this booklet, Machiel Vennik attempts to answer the question posed by Prof. P.J.M. de Bruin 75 years ago: 'What is the church's contribution to irreligiousness?' The answers in this brochure are based on information about congregations, congregation members and ministers. You could say: the 'towers' of the CGK. That which everyone sees first from a distance. The brochure can be ordered from the Documentation Centre and costs €15.
