The Union of Christian Reformed Men's Societies in the Netherlands was founded on 28 May 1928. Its objective was and still is:

'To look after the interests of member associations and promote their flourishing, to stimulate research to deepen the knowledge of Reformed principles for all spheres of life, and to be of support to its members in doing so.'

About 33 local associations are affiliated to the Union. There are over 420 members.

The men's union's magazine, De Saamwerker, is published four times a year. Every member of an affiliated association receives The Saamwerker free of charge.
