On Sunday 17 September, the Lord took home Brother Cor Hagesteijn. Br Hagesteijn served Deputies Mission as treasurer from 1992 to 2001. He did that work with great commitment, driven by a great love for the Lord Jesus and the Gospel of salvation in His blood.
Because he had a wide network in the business world, he managed to achieve a lot for a number of projects in our mission areas. In KwaMhlanga, South Africa, among other things, this enabled the construction of several buildings of Mukhanyo Theological College.
The dormitory building for students staying on campus is a particular memory of him: inside the building hangs a plaque with the words: Cors Dream. It was Br Hagesteijn's belief that a dormitory building would increase opportunities for underprivileged students, who could not travel every day due to high costs.
We remember him with respect and pray for comfort for his children and grandchildren in this loss.
