We get an upbeat note from Thailand. There, Ab and Clarine Mol are working in a team with a local church in the region Udon Thani. Ab writes: 'We are very grateful for a chronic shortage of chairs in NoonSuung. New members keep bringing family, children, friends and friends to church.'
Naturally, we want to know more about that, so we are seeking further contact with Ab and Clarine. Ab says: "Personally, I think that being faithful to what you say, living it out and showing what serving God faithfully means, keeps many people on their toes. What we further impart in sermons, visitations and Bible study time is that people should not keep salvation and peace to themselves. This is what we learn from Paul in 2 Timothy 2 verse 2: pass on what you have heard from me in the presence of many to trustworthy people who are fit to teach others. We have learnt that this works as an important principle, which we call '2-2-2'. I myself continue to be amazed at how people keep bringing new aunts, grandmothers of Jan of Pete of Klaas of Dirk to church. It seems contagious...'
'What we (and that's Pastor Arm, his wife and Clarine and me) pay keen attention to is that everyone is seen, so that old jealousy patterns can be quickly recognised and resolved or discussed. As a result, the atmosphere in the church is one of openness.'
