Regional tourism meetings 2026
As a manager, discover the power of a good atmosphere
A Sunday school hour in which children listen attentively, participate with commitment and have fun while processing: it is something every leader longs for. In practice, however, it often requires a lot of patience, insight and creativity to create a good atmosphere in which all children participate well and you can bring the message from the Bible close to the children's hearts.
In 2026, the National Contact Youth Work and the Bond van Hervormde Zondscholen (Union of Reformed Sunday Schools) therefore held regional training meetings on the theme of ‘The power of a good atmosphere... as a basis for telling from the Bible.’ During these evenings, we explore together what constitutes a good atmosphere and how leaders can contribute to it. Participants go home with practical tools that can be directly applied in Sunday school work.
The training will be provided by Sunday school workers Marjolein Huisman and Dieneke Blok. In a varied programme with examples, discussion and assignments, leaders will discover why a good atmosphere is important, which factors influence it and how, as leaders, you can consciously build an environment in which the atmosphere is a good basis for telling from the Bible.
